Generals Sign Harrington
The Herkimer Generals women’s soccer team added another to their already impressive signings by inking Stockbridge midfielder Haley Harrington for play this fall 2017. Harrington has been a perennial League All-Star and has been a 5 year varsity player garnering All-Star honors in 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grade. She is a very proficient midfielder having been in the top ten in goals for the past 3 years. Not only is Harrington a proven finisher but she can also distribute as well as she led her team in that category and has been in the league top ten for assists the past 2 years. Head Coach Jason Palkovic commented on the signing, “We are very pleased to add Haley to our growing family here at Herkimer. She is a very smart player who has a true passion for the game. I am hoping she can help fill the void in the midfield left by departing All-American Grace Johnson.” He continued, “It is never easy to replace a player like Grace, but I definitely think we are close to being right back where we were if not better with the addition of Haley. Add Haley in with returners Mikalya Blumenstock, Hannah Taylor, & Jenna Rogers with incoming freshman Maddie Renshaw, Lex Romeyn, & Adrianna Sposato and they have the makings of a very potent offense. Again I am excited to have Haley be a part of this special group. We look forward to seeing her and her family here at Herkimer.”
