Blumenstock earns NJCAA Region 3 and National honors

Herkimer, N.Y. - Mikayla Blumenstock (Poland, NY) has earned both the NJCAA Region 3 Female Athlete of the Week and the NJCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week.  Blumenstock has helped lead the Herkimer Generals to an impressive 11-1 start this season.  Perhaps what is more impressive is the fact that Blumenstock currently sits at 4th in the nation in scoring and 3rd in points scored while being limited to only one half of play in six games this season due to Herkimer's high scoring offense.  Defending Mikayla Blumenstock has proven to be difficult for teams this year as the evasive scorer continues to baffle teams with her play.   

Herkimer is currently ranked 3rd nationally, according the NJCAA DIII Women's Soccer Poll Committee, and will take on the #1 ranked Genesee Cougars home at 1 pm this Saturday.
