Generals Tie Cougars 2-2

Herkimer, NY – The Generals gave up a late goal in the 89^th minute to tie visiting Genesee. Sophomore Luke Murphy (Glasgow, Scotland) scored in the 54^th minute off a pass from sophomore Gus Ward (London, England). Ward beat his defender and passed the ball to the far post for Murphy for the first time tap in. Genesee scored one minute later in the 55^th minute off a penalty kick. The Generals regained the lead in the 59^th minute off a goal from Ward. Sophomore Camilo Avendano (Cape Coral, Florida) split two defenders on a pass that lead Ward on the breakaway finish. The Cougars tied the game in the 89^th minute off a corner kick. Neither team was able to score in both OT periods.

Sophomore goalkeeper Roandre Wollery (Hartford, Conn.) recorded 5 saves in 110 minutes of play. The Generals will host Jefferson CC on Wednesday. Kickoff is at 4:30pm at Wehrum Stadium.
