Men’s Soccer Wins 4-0 on Pete McAvoy Night

Herkimer, NY – The Generals moved to 16-1-1 by defeating Finger Lakes CC 4-0 on Pete McAvoy night.  Freshman Tyler Dobinson (Exeter, England) scored the first goal of the night in the 22^nd minute off an assist from sophomore Ferguson Ward (London, England).  Ward beat two defenders down the right hand side of the penalty area and passed it to Dobinson for the first time finish.  Sophomore Luke Murphy (Glasgow, Scotland) scored the second goal in the 43^rd minute off an assist from Dobinson.  Dobinson served the ball into the penalty area for the finish by Murphy.  Ward scored the final two goals of the game in the 47^th and 48^thminute.  Wards first goal was assist by sophomore Camilo Avendano (Cape Coral, Florida) off a deep set piece.  Wards final goal was one minute later off a rebound shot from sophomore Gianni Cognata (Cape Coral, Florida).

Sophomore goalkeeper Roandre Wollery (Hartford, CT) recorded two saves in eighty minutes of play.  The Generals now wait for the Region III play-off seeding to come out on Sunday, October 22^nd.
