Herkimer County Community College will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

The College will reopen and resume normal operations Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Purcell and George combine for 5 goals in win over Ocean County College

Herkimer, NY - Freshman Kristen Purcell (Sauquoit, NY) scored 3 goals and Sophomore Sarah George (Dolgeville, NY) added 2 more as the Herkimer Generals Women's Soccer team earned a 7-1 win over Ocean County College (NJ) on the second day of the 2018 Coliseum Kickoff Classic hosted by HCCC. The win moves the # 2 nationally ranked Generals to 2-0 on the young season.

Purcell and George also added an assist apiece as Herkimer raced out to a 4-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Sophomores Maddie Renshaw (Herkimer, NY) and Alexis Romeyn (St. Johnsville, NY) each added a goal and an assist to complete the Generals scoring on the afternoon. 

Next up for the Generals is a home date with the Onondaga Community College Lazers on Thursday, Aug 30 at Wehrum Stadium. Game time is set for 4:30 PM.
