DeBeatham scores 22 to lead Herkimer to road win at TC-3

Dryden, NY - Freshman Lexi DeBeatham (Albany, NY) scored 23 points as the Herkimer Generals went on the road and got a big 70-40 win over Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Tuesday night in Dryden, NY. With the win, Herkimer improves to 2-2 overall on the young season.

Markia Peak (Rochester, NY) had another strong game, scoring 14 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in the win. Myjoi Adams (Pomona, CA) came off the bench to score 8 points and Cassidy Weaver (Chase Mills, NY) and Gabriella Howard (Frankfort, NY) each chipped in 6 points apiece. After the Generals jumped out to an 8 point lead at the end of the first quarter, TC-3 fought back to only trail by 6 at the half, 29-23. But the second half was all Herkimer as they used outscored the Panthers 25-7 in the fourth quarter to get the big win. 

The Generals now return home for a big weekend of games against Mid-State Conference opponents. They will host the Corning Red Barons on Saturday at 1:00 PM and then turn around and host the Finger Lakes Lakers at 12 Noon on Sunday. Both games will take place in Herkimer's Varsity Gym.
