Genesee women use big second half to defeat Herkimer

Herkimer, NY - Division II Genesee Community College outscored Herkimer College 40-25 in the second half to earn a 70-53 win over the Generals on Tuesday evening in Herkimer, NY. The loss drops Herkimer's record to 3-9 on the year.

Three Generals scored in double figures on the night. Markia Peak (Rochester, NY), Clinique Robinson (Catskill, NY) and Lexi Debeatham (Albany, NY) each scored 14 points in the losing effort. Herkimer was down by a score of 30-28 at halftime before the Cougars extended their lead in the third quarter and cruised home to the 17 point win.

Herkimer now gets a week off before jumping back into Mountain Valley Conference action with a trip to Saranac Lake, NY to take on the North Country Community College Saints on Wednesday evening, January 23. The Saints are ranked # 7 in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll. Game time is set for 5:00 PM.
