Men's and Women's Bowling open season at Fulton-Montgomery

Johnstown, NY - After weather delayed their first two matches, the Herkimer Generals Men's and Women's Bowling teams finally started their seasons with a Mountain Valley Conference Match at Fulton-Montgomery Community College. The season got off to a strong start as the men's team placed in 2nd place on the day and the women came in 4th place.

On the men's side, Andrew Celio (Little Falls, NY) led the way for Herkimer with a 658 series highlighted by a high game of 254. Kyle Celio (Little Falls, NY) had a 217 game that led to a 644 series and Ryan Fischer (Ilion, NY) bowled a 625 series with his high game being 253.

For the Herkimer women, Tilani O'Neil (Queens, NY) paced the Generals attack with a 535 series with a high game of 187. Sierra Powers (Newark, NY) had the high game mark for the Herkimer women, bowling a 196 game that led to a 522 series.

The Generals look to continue their strong start to the season as they host a Mountain Valley Conference match on Friday, February 1st at the State Bowling Center in Ilion, NY. The match is set for a 1:00 start.
