Men's and Women's Bowling spend weekend at Schenectady CC Tournaments

Schenectady, NY - After hosting a Mountain Valley Conference match on Friday, the Herkimer Generals Men's and Women's Bowling teams traveled to Schenectady County Community College to take part in two tournaments, one each on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, the women finished in 7th place and the men finished 13th. Tilani O'Neil (Queens, NY) and Sierra Powers (Newark, NY) were the high scorers for the women's team on the first day, placing 16th and 20th respectively. Kyle Celio (Little Falls, NY) paced the men's effort, with five game total of 918 which put him 43rd out of 131 bowlers in a five game series. 

Sunday saw a little improvement on both sides as the men finished in 12th place and the women earned a 6th place spot on the day. Top men performers for Sunday were Johnathan Wilkes (Auburn, NY), who scored a 930 series and Ryan Fischer (Ilion,NY) who bowled an 881 series on the day. O'Neil once again led the women's charge with an 875 series, which placed her 5th overall on the day, and Piper Umbra (Sidney, NY) who tallied an 801 series.

The Generals now wait until February 12th to hit the lanes again, when they travel to Troy, NY for a MVC match at Hudson Valley Community College. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM.
