Oh, Fasolo, lead JV Baseball to sweep of Utica College

Herkimer, NY -  The Herkimer bats came out on fire Monday , scoring 26 runs in the doubleheader sweep(15-5 11-0) over Utica JV. Offensively Herkimer was lead by Dom Fasolo (Whitesboro, NY) and Woo-Jin Oh (Seoul, South Korea). Both had 2 home runs on the day. Fasolo finished the day scoring 5 runs on 5 hits (4 XBH’s) and 4 RBI’S.

Oh finished the day with 5 runs scored, going 7-7 (4 XBH’S) and 11 RBI’S.

 Anthony Ponticello (Gloversville, NY) and Doug Rando (Whitesboro, NY) both provided quality outings for the Generals, securing the wins on the day. Ponticello finished with six strikeouts through 4 innings only surrendering 2 walks. Yung-Jin Jhee (Suwon, Korea) relieved Ponticello, striking out 4 in his hitless 2 innings of work. Game 2 starter, Rando threw 4 innings of No-Hit ball, striking out 8 and only surrendering 1 walk.

 Herkimer JV is on the road Wednesday (2/24) to once again face Utica College JV, for a 2pm start.
