Generals earn # 1 seed for Region III Playoffs
Herkimer, NY – The Herkimer men’s soccer team received the #1 seed for the Region III play-offs that begins this Tuesday. The Generals finished the regular season 16-0-0 and will now host the winner of #8 Jefferson CC/#9 North Country CC who will play Tuesday at Jefferson. The winners of Tuesday’s match will travel to Herkimer on Thursday at 6:00pm for the Region III District A bracket semi-final game. The winners of Thursday’s game will advance to the District A Region III championship game against the winner of the #4 Onondaga CC/#5 Cayuga CC. Both the Region III District A and B championship games will be hosted by Genesee CC in Batavia, NY on Sunday, November 3rd.
The Generals are currently #2 in the most recent NJCAA national poll. They finished the regular season out scoring their opponents 106 to 7.
