Women's Basketball routs SUNY Adirondack on Senior Night

Herkimer, NY - After giving up the first seven points of the game on Senior Night, the Herkimer Generals roared back to claim an 88-27 win over the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves on Wednesday night in Herkimer. The win lifts Herkimer's record to 17-5 on the season and 9-2 in the Mountain Valley Conference.

Leading the Generals was freshman guard Amber Been (Bronx, NY) who scored 20 points on the evening. Region III Female Athlete of the week Lexi DeBeatham (Menands, NY) added 17 points and Junasia Lanier (Albany, NY) chipped in 15 points as all 9 Generals scored in the game. After leading only by a score of 20-13 at the end of the first quarters, the Generals outscored the TWolves 68-14 the rest of the way, including a 27-0 run in the 4th quarter.

The Generals end the regular season with a trip to Glens Falls on Sunday for a rematch with SUNY ACC. After that the Generals will prepare for the Region III Playoffs and a probable home game on Tuesday night, February 25th. Game time for Sunday's regular season finale is 1:00 PM.
