Former All-American keeper Henry to begin Concacaf League play

EL SALVADOR– Former Herkimer College goalkeeper Triston Henry and his Forge FC team will take on Municipal Limeño in a Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) preliminary round matchup. Kick-off is 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 22 FS2. Should Forge prevail over Municipal Limeño, they will meet Tauro FC of Panama in the round of 16 in the first week of November.

Forge FC qualified for league play by defeating the HFX Wanderers 2-0 in the Canadian Premier League Championship.

Henry, a 6’0, 170-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario, won back-to-back national championships with the Generals in 2012 and 2013. Henry was a two-time NSCAA all-American, recording 29 shutouts in his two seasons. He spent one season at the University of Connecticut in 2014 before transferring to NCAA Division I Quinnipiac University, appearing in 18 games and registering 65 saves with a 1.27 GAA.
