Herkimer Men's and Women's Bowling Begins 2021 Season

Herkimer, NY - Herkimer Athletics is Back!

A week after Esports made it's NJCAA debut, the Herkimer Men's and Women's Bowling team opened their Spring 2021 campaign with a match vs Mohawk Valley, Erie CC, Corning CC, and Suffolk CCC. Due to Region III and NJCAA guidelines due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, each team bowls on their home lanes and turn the scores into the Region each Monday to determine placement.

In the first week of competition, the Herkimer Men's team finished 5th and the Women's team finished 4th. Sophomore Tim Cloonan (Clay, NY) paced the Generals Men's team with a 939 series and a high game of 253 to finish 13th overall individually. On the Women's side, Freshman Alexis Garrison (Clifton Park, NY) led the Generals with 747 series, highlighted by a high game of 210. Garrison finished 14th overall individually in her first collegiate bowling match.

Herkimer will get back to the lanes on Thursday Feb 25th against the same 4 teams in the virtual format. Look for results and recaps every Monday in order to follow the Herkimer Generals Bowling Team.
