Nicosia scores against the Hawks

HERKIMER, NY – Hosting its second consecutive game for the first time this season, the Herkimer Women's Soccer team played NJCAA ranked #2 Mohawk Valley Community College Wednesday afternoon at Wehrum Stadium, coming away with the 2-1 loss.

The Lady Generals (7-4-1) have seen better days in their last three-game stretch. Herkimer has lost three consecutive games, scoring one goal in 270 minutes of play.

The one goal was provided by freshman Danielle Nicosia (Oneonta, NY). Down by two in the second half against the Hawks, Nicosia found the net for the Lady Generals, her sixth goal this season.

Herkimer's next game is against SUNY Delhi on Saturday (10/12). Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
