The College will reopen with regular business hours on Monday, July 6.

HCCC cross country runners earn All-Region Honors

Amelia Bowman-McCoy, Alexis Heath, Avion Harris, and Michael Green earned All-Region honors at the 2023 Region III championship meet held at Finger Lakes Community College last week.

Bowman-McCoy, a sophomore from Oneida, NY, won the Region III individual championship with a time of 21:24.8 and an average pace of 6:54, winning the race by 40 seconds.

Heath, a sophomore from Inlet, NY, returned from injury to place fourth at the Region III championship with a time of 23:04.2 and an average pace of 7:26.

Sophomore Avion Harris, Niagara Falls, NY, finished in second place with a time of 27:47.3 and an average pace of 5:36. Harris has finished in the top 10 in all seven races this season, including second-place finishes in his last three races.

Michael Green, a freshman from St. Johnsville, NY, finished with a career-best ninth-place finish at Regionals with a time of 30:24.0 and an average pace of 6:07.

“We seem to be peaking at the right time of year,” said Coach John Campagna. “These four individuals ran extremely well and had their best performances of the season, and I am extremely proud of them.”
