Herkimer College to host 2024 Phaethon Release Event

The 2024 issue of Herkimer College’s arts and literary publication, Phaethon, will be unveiled at a release event 0n Friday, April 26 at 1:30 p.m. in the Cogar Gallery, located in the Robert McLaughlin College Center. Complimentary copies of the new issue will be available, and refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.

Phaethon has received several awards from the Community College Humanities Association, Eastern Division Small Colleges, including third place in 2021 for Best Magazine; second place, Best Magazine in 2020; and named 2019’s Best Magazine praising the issue as was one of the top college publications in the nation, regardless of size.

The 2024 publication team includes visual editors Carlie Gross, Bailey Harrer, and Grace Kelly, and fiction editor Ajiana Martinez. Contributors include numerous students from a variety of academic disciplines.

Phaethon is advised by faculty members Andrew Devitt, Blake Pitcher, and Matthew Powers.
