Herkimer College’s Samantha Herrington and Jeremy Bell Honored with the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa All-New York Academic Team Award

Herkimer College is honored to have two students in the class of 2025, Samantha Herrington and Jeremy Bell awarded the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa All-New York Academic Team Award.
Samantha E. Herrington, of Utica, NY, earned her associate degree in Psychology on May 16, 2025. Herrington was a dedicated student and member of the campus community. She was active in campus life, participating in Fashion Club, Active Minds, and served as a peer tutor and student assistant in the Center for Student Leadership & Involvement. Herrington graduated with academic honors and is continuing her education at SUNY Polytechnic Institute to study Psychology.
Jeremy Bell, of Northville, NY, earned an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Science. He was active as a student ambassador, senior senator in the Student Government Association, Outdoor Adventure/Green Club member and served as chapter president for Phi Theta Kappa. Bell graduated with academic honors and earned a merit transfer scholarship to attend Paul Smith’s College to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Ecological Restoration with a minor in Geographic Information System (GIS).
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the largest in higher education across nearly 1,300 colleges in all 50 states, and nine countries. The Phi Theta Kappa All-New York Academic Team award is a prestigious recognition of academic excellence, leadership accomplishments, and engagement in the community.
