2024-25 All-Academic Team Honors

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced its 2024-25 All-Academic Teams, and 28 Herkimer College student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.

The NJCAA All-Academic Team award recognizes student-athletes who excel academically while competing at the junior college level, with recognition given across three teams.

Recognized for achieving a 4.00 grade point average (GPA) was Haylie Buysse, who earned First Team All-Academic honors in four different sports: women's basketball, women's soccer, softball, and women's tennis, along with Coltan Frederick (men's golf), Abby Vadney (women's soccer), and Brian Valdovinos (men's soccer).

Fifteen other Generals landed on the Second Team, recognized for maintaining GPAs between 3.80 and 3.99. This group includes student-athletes across multiple sports, including Pepe Aragon (men's soccer), Alexis Broderick (softball), Owen Capria (men's bowling/esports), Brandon Castorina (men's soccer), George Dickinson (men's soccer), Anderson Eggleston, who excelled in women's basketball, soccer, softball, and tennis, Parker Erwin (men's lacrosse), Sidney Gillogly (women's soccer), Theo Kanegae (baseball), Aubrey Lewis (softball), Braden McCumber (men's golf), Beau Pomeroy (men's soccer), Caleb Sanjurjo (men's swimming & diving, lacrosse), Jacob Severson (baseball), and Anthony Zysk (men's golf).

The Third Team All-Academic honorees, recognized for GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79, include Maximilian Axt (men's soccer), Casey Burcroff (baseball), Kerrigan Crysler (softball), Imani McNeil (women's basketball), Airam Payton (men's lacrosse), Jorge Rodriguez (baseball), Rowan Slater (men's soccer), Wyatt Walters (men's lacrosse), and Ava Williams, who earned the recognition playing both women's soccer and women's tennis.
