Herkimer County Community College Launches New Artificial Intelligence – Business A.A.S. Program
Herkimer County Community College is expanding its academic offerings with the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence – Business degree program, designed to prepare students for success in one of today’s fastest-growing and most in-demand fields.
The associate in applied science program provides students with a strong foundation in artificial intelligence (AI) concepts, machine learning, big data, and the ethical considerations that shape the digital economy. With a focus on the practical applications of AI in business environments, students will learn how to bridge the gap between technology and business strategy, skills that are increasingly essential in the global marketplace.
“As artificial intelligence continues to transform every industry, employers are seeking professionals who understand how to apply AI to achieve real business results,” said Provost Michael Oriolo. “This program empowers students with the analytical and strategic skills needed to lead in this evolving field.”
Graduates of the program will be equipped to identify and analyze information across various business functions to provide meaningful strategic insights. They will learn to apply critical thinking and data-driven analysis to evaluate the impact of artificial intelligence on business performance. In addition, students will gain experience using AI and analytical tools to extract, interpret, and leverage data that supports effective strategic decision-making.
Career opportunities include AI analyst, data science analyst, machine learning data scientist, AI trainer, and labeling specialist, roles that continue to expand as organizations adopt AI technologies.
