Herkimer County Community College Appoints Director of Human Resources

Lori Nichols of Herkimer has been appointed director of human resources at Herkimer County Community College.

Nichols brings more than 25 years of leadership and human resource experience to the role. She most recently served as chief human resources officer for Tidal Basin Group.

She is an active member of the Mohawk Valley Society for Human Resource Management and the Society for Human Resource Management, and she serves on the College’s Career Services Advisory Committee.

Nichols holds a bachelor’s in professional studies with a concentration in business public management from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. She also earned an associate degree in applied science in business administration, with a minor in marketing from Herkimer County Community College.

Nichols is a graduate of the Leadership Mohawk Valley Program and has completed professional development courses at the Disney Institute, including Disney’s Approach to Business Excellence, Disney’s Approach to Employee Engagement, and Customer Experience Summit.
