Herkimer County Community College Launches Class Preview Days for Prospective Students
Herkimer County Community College (HCCC) will offer prospective students a unique opportunity to experience college-level learning firsthand during special Class Preview Days.
Class Preview Days will be held on March 12 and March 24 for Python Programming/Cybersecurity and April 12 and April 14 for College Literature.
During the March sessions, visitors will attend CJ 245: Python Programming/Cybersecurity from 9–10:30 a.m. with faculty member April Harris. The course, which supports multiple degree programs, introduces students to programming and cybersecurity concepts using industry-relevant tools and technology.
The April sessions will feature a College Literature class with Professor Lisa Elwood from 11 a.m.–12:20 p.m. Prospective students will observe and participate in college-level literary discussion and analysis, gaining insight into the academic expectations and engagement typical of humanities coursework.
Class Preview Days are designed to provide an authentic college experience, allowing students to engage with faculty, explore classroom technology, and get a feel for Herkimer’s supportive learning environment before enrolling.
Attendees may also choose to participate in a campus tour during their visits.
Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, visit www.herkimer.edu/class-preview-days or contact the Admissions Office at 315-574-4028 or admissions@herkimer.edu.
