Men’s All-East Region Team loaded with Generals

HERKIMER, NY - Four Herkimer County Community College men's soccer players were named to the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire Junior College Division III Men's All-East Region Team.

First-team members included goalie Triston Henry (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada), defender Peter McAvoy, (Dundee, Scotland) and midfielder Jimmy Calderon (New Rochelle, NY). Henry played every game for the Generals this season, accumulating 13 shutouts. McAvoy was the leading goal scorer, amassing 15 goals in 15 games. Calderon recorded nine points in his 18 games played this season, with one goal and seven assists.

Named to the second-team was midfielder Brian Coyt (Port Chester, NY). Coyt earned Region III MVP in 2013, scoring three goals in the Region III Tournament, helping his team to the #1 seed in the NJCAA National Tournament. The Generals finished the 2013 season 17-1-0, capturing the program's 10^th NJCAA Division III National Championship and third consecutive. The team is coached by Pepe Aragon.
