Generals drop consecutive games at home, lose to Raiders

HERKIMER, NY – The Fulton-Montgomery Lady Raiders raced out to 15-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Herkimer Generals by a score of 90-46 on Thursday night in Herkimer, NY. With the loss, the Generals drop to 4-6 overall and 1-3 in Mountain Valley Conference play while the Lady Raider up their record to 9-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

The Lady Raiders raced out to the big lead behind the sharp shooting of Evanda Redwood and Stephanie Rice, who combined for 50 points on the evening for Fulton-Montgomery. Redwood and Rice hit for 11 of the team’s 12 three point field goals on the night. Abby Boyer was the other Raider that tallied double figures with 11 points on the night. Herkimer’s Emily Rexford (Canton, NY) paced the Generals with 11 points on the evening. Freshman guard Kristy Wallace (Frankfort, NY) was the other General in double figures on the night with 10 points.

The Generals will take the court again on Saturday, January 10 as they travel to conference rival SUNY Delhi for a 1 p.m. tip.
