Herkimer track & field teams off to impressive season start
Ithaca, NY – HCCC's track and field teams got their seasons off to a fine start at the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday. Wendall Williams won four individual events, and several Generals achieved a total of nine national-standard performances.
Williams finished first in the men's 100m and 200m sprints. He also added first-place finishes in the high jump and long jump to round out his superlative day. Williams also ran as part of the 400m men's relay team that dashed to a second-place finish. The other members of that team were Andre Fogo, Joseph Shinn, and Edward Harris.

Four members of the women's team achieved national standards: Mary Lenhart in shot put and javelin, Amanda Knox and Victoria Seabrooks in the 400m high hurdles.
