Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Festival of Lights at Herkimer Mini ParkThe annual “Festival of Lights” will take place on Tuesday, December 1 at the Tony Baggetta Mini Park, located on the corner of West Smith and William Streets. The festival will begin at 7 p.m. followed by a reception at the Herkimer Area Resource Center Valley Commons, located at 344 South Main Street.

Winners of “My Job, My Future” Student Essay Contest honored“My Job, My Future” Student Essay Contest top prize winner Reilly Rich’s essay talked about much of the positive developments taking place in the Mohawk Valley such as nanotechnology, new restaurants, the Rockin’ Jump trampoline park opening soon in New Hartford, the Utica Comets, new hotels and plans for a new hospital.
