Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Zombie Run to Take Place at Herkimer CollegeThe Herkimer College cross country team is hosting a 1.5 mile Zombie Run on Saturday, October 3 as part of the College’s Fall Fest & Alumni Weekend. Runners will wear flags attached to their waist and try to finish without the zombies grabbing their flags.

Essay Contest for Herkimer County Students in Grades 5-8Herkimer County students in grades five through eight are eligible to participate in an essay contest and win cash prizes. Essays should focus on the topic “Your Job, Your Future” and must be submitted no later than September 30, 2015. The contest is part of a Herkimer County educational initiative to promote future career opportunities available in the Mohawk Valley region.

Herkimer College to Host 9/11 Remembrance CeremonyHerkimer College is hosting a September 11th Remembrance Ceremony to mark the 14th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. The ceremony will be held Friday, September 11 at 10 a.m. outside the Ronald F. Williams Library Building at the main flag poles. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the Sarkus-Busch Theater in the Robert McLaughlin College Center.
