Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Herkimer College Appoints Research AssistantHerkimer College announces the appointment of Rebeccah Socolof of Ilion, NY to the position of research assistant. Socolof will assist the assistant dean of academic affairs for assessment & institutional effectiveness and the director of institutional research with preparing materials and responding to state, federal and accreditation agency requests for data and information. She will be responsible for organizing and coordinating research to support organizational assessment, planning, data analysis and accreditation processing.

Two Herkimer College Students Selected for SUNY Chancellor Awards for Student ExcellenceHerkimer College seniors Korey Bunal (Rome) and Rhiannon Steele (Little Falls) have been selected for the 2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. The Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence recognizes students who have best demonstrated and have been recognized for, the integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts, campus involvement or career achievement.

Herkimer ARC Artists to Exhibit Show in Cogar GalleryTwenty eight artists, who are supported by the Herkimer ARC, will have their artwork featured in Herkimer College’s Cogar Gallery, from Thursday, April 23 to Sunday, May 31.

Fashion Club Attends Syracuse Fashion ShowThe Herkimer College Fashion Club attended the Syracuse Fashion Week Gala at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse on Saturday, April 11. Every dollar raised from the event will provide 3.5 meals for the CNY Food Bank. The Fashion Club’s attendance alone generated 2,800 meals that will feed needy individuals across Central New York.
