Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Transfer Agreement with Upstate Medical UniversityHerkimer College recently entered into a new transfer agreement with Upstate Medical University. The agreement will facilitate the transition of qualified students from Herkimer College’s Liberal Arts & Sciences: Science program into a Bachelor of Science at Upstate Medical University in one of the following upper division programs: Medical Imaging Radiography (X-ray), Medical Imaging Sciences/Ultrasound, Medical Technology, Medical Biotechnology, Radiation Therapy and Respiratory Therapy.

On Point for College CelebrationHerkimer College staff and students recently attended the On Point for College Celebration, held at Daniele’s in Utica, to recognize community partners, build awareness and celebrate transforming lives as well as community. For the past 15 years, On Point for College has helped more than 5,000 first-generation youth to get into college. Herkimer College staff work closely with On Point for College counselors to provide support services to these students. Herkimer College Grants Four Retirees Emeritus StatusAt their meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2014, the Herkimer College Board of Trustees passed a resolution granting emeritus status to four recent retirees, effective January 1, 2015.

PTA Club Collects for VAStudents in the Physical Therapy Club at Herkimer College held a collection to benefit veterans in VA Outreach programs as part of a professional involvement assignment. Items collected included canned food, personal hygiene products, towels and washcloths. Pictured from left to right are club members Tonya Hayes (Sherrill) and Diana Stevenson (Clinton). The Physical Therapy Club is one of more than 40 student clubs and organizations at Herkimer College. The purpose of the club is to provide a forum for all students, including those enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant program, to explore current physical therapy topics.

Herkimer College Announces Four Candidates for PresidentThe Herkimer County Community College Board of Trustees has announced the finalists for the position of president. Campus forums with each of the four candidates will be held in December. Specific dates and details related to the visits will be forthcoming.
