Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Herkimer College Summer Non-Credit Course Schedule AvailableHerkimer College’s summer non-credit course schedule is now available. The College offers several summer youth camps and clinics including Calling All Fashionistas, Weather Watchers, Adventure Camp, Robotics Mini-Camp and a variety of sports camps.

Student Film Showcase this Thursday EveningHerkimer College will hold its 5th Annual Student Film Showcase on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the Robert McLaughlin College Center Amphitheater. The showcase will feature works from Associate Professor Robert Gassmann’s Digital Filmmaking class, as well as from a special film seminar taught by Assistant Professor of English Andrew G. Devitt, Instructor of English Matthew Powers and Gassmann. The event is free and open to the public.

Herkimer College Relaunches Literary MagazineThe short stories, poems, and artwork of Herkimer College students, alumni, emeritus, and staff will be showcased in the relaunch of the College’s literary magazine, Phaethon. The magazine shares a long and prestigious history with the college and has featured the works of many talented artists over the years.

Phi Theta Kappa InductionSixty-seven Herkimer College students were inducted into the Upsilon Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Phi Theta Kappa provides development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas, lively fellowship of scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.

46th Annual Herkimer College CommencementHerkimer County Community College’s 46th annual Commencement will be held Friday, May 16 at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Physical Education building. There are 695 candidates for degrees and certificates this year.
