Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Herkimer College Announces 2014 Torchbearer AwardsHerkimer County Community College announces three honorees to receive the 2014 Torchbearer Award. Given every five years, the Torchbearer Award recognizes individuals who have made substantial contributions to the College’s development, with particular attention given to those whose contributions were made in the first 20 years of the College’s history (1966–1986).

Full Tuition ScholarshipThe Herkimer County College Foundation is accepting applicants for a Full-Tuition Scholarship, for the first year of study at Herkimer College. The scholarship is made possible through the Thomas J. and Joann L. Casale Family Scholarship Fund. It is available to a 2014 graduating senior from Herkimer High School who will be enrolling at Herkimer College full-time for the fall 2014 semester.

Used Book SaleHerkimer College’s Library will be holding a used book sale to celebrate National Library Week. The sale will run from Sunday, April 13 through Friday, April 18. Used books will be available for 25 cents each, or five for $1. This sale is open to the public, and will be held during regular Library hours: Sunday 4 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Herkimer College Opens Commuter Student Resource CenterHerkimer College recently opened a new Commuter Student Resource Center, located in the Robert McLaughlin College Center, room 223. The purpose of the Commuter Center is to help commuter and off-campus students feel connected to others and to provide relevant information to aid in balancing home, social and academic responsibilities.
