Herkimer College Welcomes Students for the Fall 2025 Semester
Herkimer College has begun the Fall 2025 semester with strong enrollment growth and an energized campus community. Students moved into College housing on Saturday, August 30, with classes officially beginning on Tuesday, September 2.

Elwood-Farber Publishes Article on American LiteratureHerkimer County Community College Associate Professor of English Lisa Elwood-Farber recently published an article on American literature called “Grimké’s Sentimentalism in Rachel: Subversion as an Act of Feminism” in Critical Insights: Harlem Renaissance: The New Negro Intellectual and the Poetry of the Political Imagination for Salem Press, edited by Christopher Varlack. It was presented at the Northeast Modern Language Association (NeMLA) conference in Toronto, Canada in May 2015.

Herkimer College Hosts State RepresentativesHerkimer County Community College administrators, faculty and students hosted New York State representatives, including Senator James Seward and Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney, for a campus visit on Monday, March 7. Students shared with the elected officials personal stories of why they chose to attend Herkimer College, the opportunities available to them and their plans for the future.
