Cogar Gallery to Exhibit Drawings by RC Oster
Herkimer, NY – An exhibit of drawings by RC Oster will be on display at Herkimer College’s Cogar Gallery now through Thursday, February 28th.
Oster is a well-known regional artist famous for his exquisitely detailed drawings of rural architecture, historic buildings, homes and landmarks.
“Our older buildings are unique, and usually have stories to tell if we will listen. The details in these structures initially drew me to them, and this in turn has led to the level of detail in my drawings,” said Oster. “My eyes are never bored by these wonderful landmarks. I hope that many of them remain among us for years to come. The first step toward preserving them is noticing them for the unique and beautiful structures which they are.”
The Cogar Gallery is open to the public free of charge Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when the College is open.
