HERKIMER, NY – The Herkimer Generals men’s soccer team had one player selected as an All-American in 2015. It was Captain Femi Kaffo. He made it to the second team.

Kaffo – a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major at Herkimer College – totaled six goals and nine assists in 19 games played for the Generals. The resident of London, England tallied points in eight of the games, standing out against Jamestown and Clinton in September with multi goal and assist performances. Against the Jayhawks, Kaffo had two goals and three assists. Against the Cougars, Kaffo had two goals and two assists. His most memorable play came against Tompkins Cortland, helping Herkimer prevail in double overtime when Kaffo found Yuu Sasaki (Chiba, Japan) for the game winner in the 101st minute.

“Femi is a great attacking outside midfielder with excellent speed and skill,” said Head Men’s Soccer Coach Pepe Aragon. “His unbelievable work ethic has several Division I and II programs looking at him. Femi is both a class act on-and-off the field. He truly is deserving of this award!”
