Wrinn Wins Prize at Cooperstown Exhibition

Herkimer County Community College Professor Maryann Wrinn recently had one of her mixed media pieces accepted and awarded into the 81st Annual Cooperstown Art Association National Juried Art Exhibition.

Wrinn, who began teaching fine arts at Herkimer College in 1992, received the Elsie M. Burch Memorial Prize for her mixed media collage ‘Liar.’ It was one of 116 works of art selected from over 400 entries. “The Cooperstown National Exhibition is a high-quality, well-known show,” said Wrinn. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to show my work there and am honored to have won an award.”

All 116 pieces will be shown from Friday, July 15 to Friday, August 19 at the Cooperstown Art Association at 22 Main Street in Cooperstown, NY. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 607-547-9777.
