Diggs & Dimes Sink Double Digits

Herkimer, NY--  Herkimer Generals women's basketball hosted the Cayuga Spartans tonight (11/29) for their first game after the Thanksgiving break.  The Generals and Spartans took turns with the lead throughout the entire first half with the Spartans finishing the half on top 29-26.  The Generals returned from the half with a vengeance grabbing more rebounds and sinking more shots, especially from the Dimes and Diggs dynamic duo.  Sophomore guard #5 Diamonique "Dimes" Franklin finished the night high scorer with 23 points.  Trailing just behind her was freshman point guard #24 Jazmin Diggs who proved to be a true triple threat sinking her jumper, owning the dribble-drive and assisting her offense.  Diggs finished the night with 20 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.  

The Generals look to continue their success Thursday (12/1) as they travel to face the Jefferson Cannoneers; tip off at 8PM.
