Murphy scores Generals First Four Goals in Generals 6-0 Win Over the Raiders

Herkimer, NY – Sophomore Luke Murphy (Glasgow, Scotland) scored the first four goals of the game in Herkimer’s 6-0 win over visiting Fulton Montgomery CC.   Murphy scored the first three goals in the last three minutes of the first half.  His first was in the 42nd minute off an assist from freshman Tyler Dobinson (Exeter, England).  Murphy’s second was in the 43rd minute off an assist from freshman Shane Hennessy (Yonkers, NY).  His third goal came in the 44th minute where Murphy pressured a Fulton defender and stripped him of the ball and scored on a breakaway.  Murphy scored his fourth goal of the game in the 61st minute off an assist from freshman Dawson Green (Boonville, NY).  Sophomore Kevin Valdovinos (Port Chester, NY) scored his first goal of the season in the 83rd minute on an assist from freshman Randolph Butler (New Hartford, NY).  Freshman Brady Wheelock (West Winfield, NY) finished the scoring in the 88thminute off an assist from freshman Andre Blanco (Cape Coral, Florida).

Sophomore goalkeeper Roandre Wollery (Hartford, Connecticut) recorded 2 saves in 65 minutes of action to record his seventh shutout of the season.  Sophomore goalkeeper Liam Mullings ( London, England) came in the 25th minute to replace Wollery and recorded two saves.  The Generals return to action on Saturday, September 16th where they will host Monroe CC at Wehrum Stadium.  Kick-off is at 2:00pm.
