Bernier sets the pace for Herkimer with a fourth place finish

Finger Lakes Community College Invitational

The women's cross country team finished third at the Bruce Bridgeman 5k Invitational which was hosted by Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday.  Herkimer was lead by sophomore Chyanna Bernier (Ilion, NY) who ran the 5k in a time of 20:37.  The time was good enough to place Bernier fourth on the day.  Other notable finishers for Herkimer were sophomore Tiffany Amentler (Elmira, NY) and freshman Makenzie Citrin (Oriskany, NY) who earned 22nd and 23rd respectively. 

The team travels to SUNY Poly September 23rd for the next invitational.  The anticipated start time is 10:00 am.
