Generals Down Mohawk Valley on the Road
Utica, NY – The Herkimer men’s team defeated Mohawk Valley 2-0 on the road yesterday. Freshman Marvin Tapia (Manassas, Virginia) scored in the 74th minutes off an assist from sophomore Gianni Cognata (Cape Coral, Florida). Cognata served the ball into the Hawks penalty area where Tapia finished off of a rebound. Sophomore Gus Ward (London, England) scored in the 85th minutes off a clearance from a Hawks defender. Ward struck the ball first time from twenty yards out for the goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Roandre Wollery (Hartford, CT) recorded 2 saves in 90 minutes of action. The Generals return home to take on Genesee CC on Saturday. Kick-off is at 3:00pm at Wehrum Stadium.
