#4 Herkimer advances with 3-0 win over # 5 Bunker Hill

Herkimer, N.Y. - The # 4 seed Herkimer Generals defeated the # 5 seed Bunker Hill Bulldogs (MA) to advance to the semifinals of the 2017 NJCAA DIII men's soccer national championship.  Gus Ward (London, England) scored the first goal of the game for the Generals (9:58).  Ward took advantage of a misplaced defense and made his shot from about twenty yards out.  In the 52nd minute Ward would again find the goal on an assist by teammate Luke Murphy (Glasgow, Scotland).  Murphy would then find the goal himself two minutes later on an assist from Tyler Dobinson (Exmouth, England).  

Herkimer will face the #1 seed Richland (TX) at 4 pm in the national semifinal at Wehrum Stadium.  The winner will go on to play in the 2017 NJCAA DIII National Championship.
