Blumenstock named November Green and Gold athlete of the month

Herkimer, NY – Herkimer College has announced its Green & Gold Athletes for the month of November. They are men’s cross country runner Kyle Holmes (Spencer, NY) and women’s soccer player Mikalya Blumenstock (Poland, NY). 

Blumenstock has been named Green and Gold Athlete of the Month for a second time this year. She had four goals and one assist in the National Championship tournament, and was named Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year, Region III Player of the Year, Regional Championship MVP and National Championship All-Tournament Team. She led Herkimer’s women’s soccer team to the program’sbest finish to date.

“Mikki has enjoyed one of the best seasons in women’s soccer history here at Herkimer. Her performance all year and in the national championship tournament showed why she is one of the best in the country. She is a pure finisher and led the collective team effort in our success this season,” said Coach Jason Palkovic.
