Renshaw earns Green and Gold Female Athlete of the Month Honors for October
Herkimer NY – Herkimer College has announced its Green and Gold Athletes for the month of October. They are women’s soccer player Maddie Renshaw (Herkimer, NY) and men’s cross country runner Jake Baisley (Dolgeville, NY).
Renshaw, a senior midfielder, has led the Generals to back-to-back Region III Championships and is tied for 6th in the nation in assists. She assisted in both goals in the Region III Championship game and was named 1st Team All-Region and All-Conference in 2018.
“Maddie does a lot of things that don’t show up on the stat sheet. I am thrilled to see Maddie get some of the recognition she deserves,” said Coach Jason Palkovic.
Baisley, a senior, earned All-Conference and All-Region honors by placing in the top 7 in the Mountain Valley Conference Championships as well as the Region III Championships in October.
Coach Steve Sydoriw said, “Jake has been working hard and has improved throughout the year. He is capable of running his fastest time ever at Nationals if he keeps working at it.”
