Herkimer Swimming and Diving compete at Monroe CC Invite

Rochester, NY - The Herkimer College Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving team had a strong showing at the Monroe Community College Invitational on Saturday in Rochester, NY. Multiple swimmers posted season best times in the meet to wrap up their first semester schedule.

Amanda Mascia (Matoaca, VA) won both of her events, winning the 50 Yard Freestyle and 50 Yard Backstroke, and her winning time in the backstroke qualified her for that event at the National Championships. Abigail Janczuk (Oneida, NY) and Chereima Johnson (New York, NY) each swam personal best times in their events, with Janczuk obtaining hers in the 50 Freestyle and Johnson swimming to her best in the 100 Freestyle.

On the men's side, Nicholas Flores (Ossining, NY) swam to a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle event.

The Generals now enter the semester break and will next swim again at the Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, January 12, 2019.
