Jenkins, O'Neil lead Herkimer Bowlers in Region III Championships

Utica, NY - The Herkimer Women finished 5th and the Men earned a 5th place finish at the 2019 Region III Bowling Championships hosted by Mohawk Valley Community College at Pin-O-Rama lanes in Utica on Sunday. The teams will now have 2 weeks off to prepare for the NJCAA National Championships.

The top performers on the day for the Generals were Zach Jenkins (Endicott, NY) , Tilani O’Neal (Queens, NY), and Katherine Vartanian (Cortland, NY). Jenkins finished in 4th in the four game singles block with a 801 series, he also finished in 7th in the All Events portion. O' Neil finished 8th in the singles block with a 697 series and 7th in the All Events portion. That was followed by Vartanian finishing in 9th in the Singles block with a 688 series and 12th in All Events block.

The Generals will wrap up their season by participating in the National Tournament which takes place at Erie Community College (Airport Lanes) on February 28th, March 1st, and March 2nd.
