Herkimer women fall to # 6 North Country to conclude regular season

Herkimer, NY - The North Country Saints used a 23-10 second quarter to pull away and defeat the Herkimer Generals by a score of 73-49 on Saturday afternoon in Herkimer. The loss to the Saints, who are ranked # 6 in the latest NJCAA National Poll, drops the Generals record to 5-13 overall and 3-5 in Mountain Valley Conference action.

Myjoi Adams (Pomona, CA) paced the Generals with 17 points on the afternoon. Lexi DeBeatham (Albany, NY) added 9 points while Shayla McCombs (Flushing, NY) chipped in with 7 points in the loss. 

Despite only 5 wins on the season, the Generals will await Saturday evening's Region III Committee meeting to see if they have qualified for the Regional Playoffs. The Generals will get the benefit of 6  additional wins counted for them in the seeding guidelines against teams that had to forfeit their seasons.
