Men's Soccer stays unbeaten with 4-0 road win over Hudson Valley
Troy, NY – Freshman Alex Charles (Christ Church, St. Kitts) had two goals and one assist in Herkimer’s 4-0 win over host Hudson Valley CC. Sophomore Jaahdel Cyril (Bridgeport, Connecticut) opened up the scoring for the Generals in the 17th minute off an assist from Charles. Charles scored his first goal of the game in the 37th minute off an assist from sophomore Ryheim Hinds (Bridgeport, Connecticut). Hinds played the ball over the top to Charles who had a great first touch inside the penalty area and beat the Vikings goalkeeper far post. Hinds scored the third goal of the game in the 40th minute off an assist from sophomore Shemar Blair (Brampton, Ontario, Canada). Blair played a great ball back to Hinds in the penalty area for Hinds first time finish. Charles finished off the scoring for the Generals in the 43rd minute off an assist from freshman Minato Nakayama (Hyogo, Japan).
Freshman goalkeeper Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan) recorded three save in seventy minutes of play. Sophomore Tinius Klausen (Oslo, Norway) recorded two saves in the remaining twenty minutes.
The #2 nationally ranked Generals will host Region 19 Brookdale CC (New Jersey) Saturday, September 28th at Wehrum Stadium. Kick-off is at 1:00pm
