Blair scores 4 in 5-2 win over Mohawk Valley

Utica, NY – Sophomore Shemar Blair (Brampton, Ontario, Canada) scored four goals today in the Generals 5-2 win over host Hawks.  Blair scored his first goal in the 4th minute off an assist from freshman Minato Nakayama (Hyogo, Japan).  Blair struck again in the 14th minute off an assist from sophomore Luca Fahling (Domat, Switzerland).  Freshman Alex Charles (Christ Church, St. Kitts) scored in the 28th minute off an assist from sophomore Jaahdel Cyril (Bridgeport, Connecticut).  The Hawks got on the scoreboard scoring their first goal in the 42nd minute off a set piece.  Blair opened up the second half scoring in the 64th minute off an assist from Cyril.  Blair finished off the scoring for the Generals in the 72nd minute off an assist from freshman goalkeeper Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan).

 Takahashi recorded 5 saves in seventy minutes of action conceding one goal in the 42nd minute.  Sophomore keeper Tinius Klausen (Oslo, Norway) made 2 saves in the last 20 minutes conceding a goal in the 89th minute.

 The #2 nationally ranked Generals will host #5 Genesee Saturday at Wehrum Stadium.  Kick-off is at 3:00pm.
