JV Men's Basketball takes down SUNY Sullivan JV

Herkimer, NY - Tavon Bates (Liverpool, NY) and Mecca McCullough (Rochester, NY) combined for 54 points as the Herkimer Generals Men's JV Basketball team defeated the SUNY Sullivan JV Generals by a score of 81-65 on Saturday morning at the Herkimer Varsity Gym. The win gave Herkimer 2 wins out of the 3 matchups with Sullivan this year and raised their record to 10-2 on the year.

Bates led the Herkimer attack with 28 points, while McCullough was right behind with 26 points, which included 6 3 points baskets in the game. Senior Josh Wilcox (Herkimer, NY) added 12 points while Ryo Hikichi (Kanagawa, Japan) and Nasir DuBose (Utica, NY) completed the Generals scoring by adding 9 and 6 points respectively.

Next up for Herkimer is a rematch with Monroe College JV on Tuesday afternoon in Herkimer. These two teams opened the season with a thrilling 2 point win for the Generals down in New Rochelle. Game time is set for 3:00 PM.
