JV Basketball ends season on high note with 89-52 win

Herkimer, NY - The Herkimer Generals JV Men's Basketball team wrapped up a successful 2019-2020 campaign with an 89-52 win over Monroe College/Bronx JV on Saturday afternoon in Herkimer. The win gave the Generals a final mark of 11-3 on the season.

Tavon Bates (Liverpool, NY) once again led the way for Herkimer, scoring 32 points on the day, which included 7 3 pointers. Senior Ryo Hikichi (Kanagawa, Japan) finished his Herkimer career by scoring 16 points and Jerome Henderson ( Jamaica, Queens) chipped in with 13 points. The Generals had a 51-32 lead of the half before holding the Express to only 20 second half points in pulling away for the big win.

Hikichi and fellow senior Josh Wilcox (Herkimer, NY) were honored before the game for their efforts and contributions to the JV program over the last 2-3 years.
