Herkimer College appoints admissions assistant

Herkimer County Community College has appointed Freddy J. Cicchetti, III, to the role of admissions assistant. In this position, Cicchetti will serve as the College’s New York City/Long Island representative.

Cicchetti, of Lynbrook, NY, is the former senior advisor of international admissions and outreach at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where he oversaw all aspects of international student recruitment and enrollment. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from CUNY Baruch College and his master’s degree in communication arts from the New York Institute of Technology.

He also served as the assistant director of admissions and then the associate director of international admissions at the New York Institute of Technology. Cicchetti is an active member of professional organizations such as the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and he is a contributor to the New York State Association for College Admissions Counseling newsletter.

In his new role with the Herkimer College Admissions Office, Cicchetti will help the College meet undergraduate enrollment goals through a variety of marketing and recruitment initiatives, as well as aid prospective students in and around the New York City/Long Island region with the admission and enrollment process.
